
Each year, the Dayton Art Institute (DAI) selects an outstanding and inspirational educator to receive the distinguished Houk Award. The recipient is someone who has demonstrated a commitment and dedication to arts education in southwestern Ohio through the development of initiatives that promote creative learning and personal expression. This year the award was presented to Matt Flick, Vice President of Program Development and Industry Relations for 外网天堂 during the DAI鈥檚 annual meeting on February 27th, 2020. He will receive permanent recognition in The Lange Family Experiencenter at the DAI.
Mr. Flick has 20 years of industry experience as an award-winning art director and educator. He is in charge of ensuring students at 外网天堂 are connected with those in the design industry and constantly brings new ideas and innovation into the school. 聽In addition, he is an instructor which keeps him connected to the students and their interests every day. Mr. Flick also is in charge of curriculum development at the college and continues to make the programs stronger every year.

The Pamela P. Houk award was established to honor her contribution to advancing art education for all ages as evidenced through her work as founder and curator of The Lange Family Experiencenter at The Dayton Art Institute.
