Wins Public Relations Award from PRSA Dayton

[KETTERING, OH, 5/9/19] – The Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) Dayton chapter hosted its annual PRism Awards on Thursday. The PRism Awards recognize excellence, and winning nominations must demonstrate exceptional research, planning, execution, and results. The college’s in-house communications team earned a Prism Award for their 2018 integrated marketing communications project, ’s Brand Launch.

The purpose of ’s Brand Launch campaign was to inform its numerous stakeholders of the change and to encourage all audience groups to live the college’s new motto: “Fueled by Passion. United in Design.” The campaign included events, social media, a new website, press releases, new apparel designs, a collaborative exhibit, and direct mail.  The college made the commitment on July 20 to close one day a semester so its students, faculty, and staff can devote a day toward exploring their unique passions and bringing that energy back to campus.

On launch day, the college exceeded its established goals for several objectives, most notably for its day-long social media campaign, employee engagement event, and press coverage from local media.
