Modern Instructor Elected to Kettering City Council

Modern Instructor Shane Sullivan was elected to Kettering City Council representing District 3, including south and southwest Kettering, on November 7, 2023. He will replace outgoing City Councilman Tony Klepacz.

Shane holds an M.Ed. and a BS in Education from Wright State University. Shane has worked for many schools in the greater Dayton area, including his current position with Kettering City Schools.
He has extensive experience teaching, focusing on math, reading, and science. Shane is a STEM ambassador, a graduate of Kettering’s leadership program, and a member of the Kettering Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Advisory Council. Shane teaches Quantitative Reasoning courses at .
